Happy New Year!

On the last day of 2010 I'm sitting here reflecting on all the wonderful things we did this year.
Lot's of trips to Longwood Gardens, Winterthur and Landis Valley Museum.

Devon Horse Show is always a blast.

Four fun trips to the beach.

First time seeing humpback whales off the coast of Cape Cod... awesome!

Gorgeous flowers growing in the backyard garden.

Zoe and I started riding Rosie in 2010. So nice to get back in the barn!

And the coolest of all, I became an official Trail of the Painted Ponies artist!
This signed, repainted 'Celestial' figurine now available on ebay.

Here's to a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2011!

Sunday at the Barn

Faust and pony friend. Faust is blind in this eye.

I was able to borrow a western saddle that is just Zoe's size for her to ride in.
Rosie decided it was time to show Zoe what a trot feels like and her response was a giggle and not crying which was good! I was thankful she had that horn to hold on to!
The cold weather was making Rosie very frisky because she gave me a few bucks when I asked for the trot. Luckily we got over that!

 Faust's good eye. I love horse's eyes.

A split second too late for a nice shot.
Oh well, blinky shots are funny to me:)

This little barn kitten makes me laugh when I look at him.
Found out he likes to chase the end on a whip:)

Where have I been? (December Edition)

Decorating our Christmas tree.
Love a real tree and the warm glow of white lights (not LED).

Cats love checking out the tree and decorations.
Lucky for us, they don't bother it.

Visiting Longwood Gardens and forgetting my camera.
(this one's from last year)

Love visiting King of Prussia Mall during the Holidays.
They have the best decorations. A full carousel of deer encircled Santa!

3+ story high reindeer outside the mall.

A first time trip to Johnny Brendas in Philadelphia to see the band Freelance Whales.
They were awesome, check out this video! What a great venue too, very small and cozy with a great selection of beer. I had the Yards Love Stout, delicious and creamy! They only serve local beers, no Miller Lite here.

Finishing up my newest custom Painted Pony, Cree Beauty.
Based on a Woods Cree Indian saddle blanket from the 1800's,
combines my love of flowers and nature with horses.

The Trail of Painted Ponies has my Celestial pony on the front page of their site. They also used this pony for the month of January in their new calendar. I should have some coming in the mail to sell soon. My pony, Appy Holidays, is the December image too!

Still Blooming

I can't believe, on December 3rd, there are still some flowers blooming in the garden.

I am in love with snapdragons. They are one of the earliest annuals to plant. They come in a beautiful array of colors and the are still blooming in December. So there are only about 2-3 months of the year when a snapdragon is not blooming. That's a lot of bang for you buck!

This Scottish Harebell still has a few delicate blossoms too!

Gypsy Horse ornament on Ebay.
Haven't had the time to get much else painted.

I have added a lot of new designs to Cafepress including the ornaments you see below. Today is the last day of the sale, you can purchase them for only $7.50 each!  I also added a section with my Day of the Dead horse painting and a Unicorn Tapestry design as well.

Hope everyone has a happy weekend!
We will be putting up our Christmas tree, I'm so excited!
