Open for Business

My Etsy shop is now up and ready! I was even able to paint a few pieces to put in it yesterday. I've been checking out the forums there and the people on Etsy are so friendly. I feel very inspired and it is so nice to belong to a community of fellow artists and craftspeople. I just feel so fortunate to be able to create things that people like and that make them happy. Each time I get an email or positive feedback from a buyer it makes it all worth it. I have been so inspired and motivated this year. The first thing I think about each morning is, "what am I going to paint today?". And the last thing I think is, "what am I going to paint tomorrow?". It's been so hard to shut my brain off lately that it is becoming a problem. Last night I woke up at 2am and didn't do back to sleep until 5am! With a little one that means there's no sleeping in until 10 either. Thank God for coffee. Well, my husband has a two hour delay (he's a teacher) due to ice so I better get to painting while I have a babysitter!
Enjoy today!
Jen

Hi Jennifer, thank you for your kind & thoughtful comments. Your art work is lovely. Especially your horses, very fine & detailed work. Are you familiar with George Ford Morris? He is my favorite horse artist.

I'll have to update my Emily Dickinson post with the Friesian info. My best friend emailed wonderful information & I did more research on those beautiful horses as well.

I grew up on our ranch in Woodland Hills (yes a real ranch). We had two beautiful Palomino's & one beautiful Bay Horse: Queen Of Gold (Queenie), Dell & KC. I could ride a horse & swim before I could walk. Those were the days. Hope I can find those vintage photos. My Dad painted beautiful horse & landscape paintings. My Mom painted pretty flowers & gardens.

Bright Blessings Always, Lyndy

I bet you will do great with these lovely horse pendants. I can think of several people I know that would want one. Your blog is beautiful as well. I need to work on mine.
