Longwood on May Day

I know, my readers must be sick of me sharing pictures of Longwood Gardens but what better place to visit on May Day!
It was a little rainy today but the drops held off for most of the time that we were there. The tulips were in full swing so I thought I would share a few pictures and a really short video of just a tiny snippet of the gorgeous flowers.

One of these tulips is doing her own thing!

I need to make this! Can't you picture some flowering vine growing up the corners?

Nope. Sorry Jen. Much as you say it, I will NEVER be sick of nature pics or ANY of your pics! :D

They are BEAUTIFUL! I love the little red tulip doing her own thing!

And I love twig structures too--ahh, if only I had a big garden to do that fun stuff with!

Happy May Day!

You can put as many pictures as you want up...the flowers are just so beautiful. I love tulips. This weekend starts the Tulip festival in Holland MI. Would you believe I have never been to it?
I guess I don't like the crowds, and they come by the bus loads.

So pretty. I went to University of TN Gardens with my pathetic little camera and got some gorgeous tulip pictures, too. There are a few on my Adventures blog. I used to not like tulips, but now I look at them and see velvet.

I really enjoy your blog :)

I never get sick of flowers and color and life! Your shots are beautiful, you have such a great eye (as you are a terrific artist that isn't really surprising, lol). It is always a joy to visit your blog :)
Have a great weekend!

I LOVE your pictures!!!! Our local garden, Manito, is not in bloom yet, but I am very interested in gardening right now. I'm trying to create a "poetic" space--never having been a real "green thumb" before. My new blog is www.emilydickinsonsgarden.wordpress.com . You can watch my progress of going from nothing but dirt to, hopefully, lots of green, living things. Wish me luck!
