Pony Races

After the terrier races and carriages we watched the large and small pony races. Some people were there to win with pony sized Thoroughbreds and real racing saddles, and some were there to have fun. I really liked watching the small ponies, they came in all colors: pinto, palomino, appaloosa, buckskins, etc.. I think those kids are very brave to ride in these races and I really enjoyed photographing the activities in the paddock.

Nice little palomino pony butt:)

You look this way, I'll look the other.

Rider's up!

Call to the post.

Post parade.

Here they come, down the stretch!

Check back tomorrow from some photos from the horse races!

Jen...Maybe you should consider writing and taking pictures for local papers as freelance...you have a great eye for it.

Aw, the ponies are so cute!

(Lol, I can hear Jerry Seinfeld in my head saying, "Who wouldn't love a pony? Who wouldn't love a person who had a pony?" Hehehe...

What a pleasure to ride along with you at these pony races! Gave me a little thrill just thinking of those few times when I really flew on my horse. :)
