Pumpkin Farm
I recently discovered that an Amish farm about 3 miles down my road sells a wide variety of pumpkins in the fall. I knew this place selled dried gourds year round but I had no idea that they had so many for autumn decorating! Needless to say I was in pumpkin heaven (an the prices were great too). I love how they've set up their displays from the pumpkins in the barn windows to the big curly tree branch in on old milk can to the stack of crates with different varieties of gourds labeled for curious minds like me. So if you're in Lancaster County, check it out. It's on Landisville road between Landisville and East Petersburg, right around the corner from Roots Market.

Funny thing - that is what my Quilting Bee was about yesterday. Wonderful post and the pictures divine!! I think we might tootle to the pumpkin patch this week....hmmmmm!
Hugs, Sarah
I am so jealous... we have no place even remotely like this in our area.. There is such a variety to you to choose from... Beautiful pictures... thank you for sharing
can i live amongst all those pumpkins? lol :D
they all look great I would be broke pretty fast buying them for decorations :)
Oh my gosh, I would have gone crazy buying up all kinds of pumpkins, gourds, corn, etc.! You know what is funny is that around here after the pumpkins start to get a bit soft we drop them out in the pastures and the deer love to eat them! I wish we had a pumpkin farm near us. Sigh, all we have is your standard pumpkins at the grocery stores. And some really expensive gourds can usually be found at the store, too.
They are beautiful. It's times like those where I wished I lived in the country!
Hey, Miss, I have a blog award on my blog for you :)
Have a great Tuesday!
My husband and I are headed to York Pa to see our daughter (Sr. at York college) this weekend and thought we might find a nice place to stay near there, since today we celebrate 25 years of bliss! Any suggestions? In the meantime, your blog has me very excited for our short, but sweet visit. Thanks for sharing.
Oh Jennifer!
I am so jealous, you lucky ducky. Their prices are absolutely fabulous, and I love the Indian corn, the guords and ofcourse the pumpkins. I could not believe that their mums were only $4.00. My gosh how reasonable their prices were. We don't find those prices here in the city.
Thank you for taking me along to your favorite pumpkin patch. Just lovely. Love it. Have a beautiful day. Country hugs, Sherry
Wonderful! Great displays as well. I love to do some of my shopping in an Amish community about half and hour away from here. Some of my goats are even from an Amish farm and one of my horses has ended up on an Amish farm because a nice young Amish boy (teenager) bought him from me so he could train him as his own personal riding horse. The Amish are so nice and friendly.
That is a find! I love all that Indian corn. That building that shows the pumpkins sitting on the sill, looks like it would be cool.
Wow! They really do have some beautiful displays! Someone there really has an artistic eye!! :-) Thanks for sharing as we are probably 3 plus hours from you...
be well...
I am in awe of this beautiful farm! I want to live there, tucked away in a straw filled corner :)
Great photos, they'd make beautiful cards.
Have a great week!
Beautiful photos. Vegetable art. Love it.
Oh, the colors!! Nice photos too!
I love fall. :)
Gorgeous pictures! Don't you just love autumn?
I just love all of the colors of pumpkins at road side farm markets. You've captured them in your photos just splendidly! Well done~
