Scenes from Landis Valley

Since my father so kindly bought us a family membership to Landis Valley Museum, I thought I would try to head over there more and not just on special events. Well, the place was a ghost town yesterday despite the gorgeous weather. Zoe and I had a great time chatting with all the animals, which outnumbered the visitors. The funniest thing of all was this female turkey. The friendliest fowl I've ever met. She seemed to enjoy being petted and followed us around! In fact I think all the animals enjoyed our attention.

Sweet animals. I think it would be so amazing to live where you could actually have all these critters on your own property. I imagine they are not low maintenance though!

Wow - what a cool place! When we return to the area, we will have to visit there as well. I could definitely spend an entire day chatting with animals. :) Talk to you soon! Theresa

Oh wow, now THAT (in my humble opinion) is what a farm SHOULD look like - old fences, animals just hanging out, not perfectly manicured, weed-free farm 'wastes'. There the land does what it should, and I LOVE it! Thank you so very much for your shots, I had a great time living vicariously through your farm visit :)
