Tis the season to be jolly!

I married a wonderful man.
He noticed how I swoon over every feather tree I see and on his way home from work yesterday, he stopped by the museum store at Landis Valley Museum and bought me the most gorgeous, vintage looking tree! I love it so much, I had to share a few photos. It looks really nice with his antique wax ornaments. Now I'm on the look out for more vintage ornaments to hang. It also looks nice with a few other things I've bought at the museum store: a snowman bust reproduction by Johanna Parker (love her work), a Christmas countdown calendar, and a vintage looking Santa sculpture.

When looking for gifts to buy, I find museum shops are a great place to find wonderful, unique treasures. My other favorite place is Etsy. So much more rewarding to buy something from an actual artist or crafter than from a big chain store. Please leave a comment on this post telling me about the unique places where you like to shop for gifts. If you're an Etsy or Ebay seller, please leave a link so I can check out your shop!

I also want to thank Theresa of Faerie Moon Creations for bestowing upon me the Kreativ Blogger award. She has a lovely Etsy boutique filled with all sorts of jewelry that would make great gifts:)

Finally, pop on over to Chronicles of Whimsy and enter her wonderful blog giveaway! I love her artwork and am proud to own an original!

What a marvelous gift! Your hubby knows you very well, doesn't he? Kudos to him, big time~

This year, most of my purchased gifts came from Etsy. I couldn't agree more.

Your home looks so festive.

Oh Jennifer...
I am so thrilled for you. I have been wanting one of those Feather trees for the longest time. I have yet to see one here in Phoenix. I am sure they exist somewhere, but everywhere I have been looking they do not. How beautiful it looks.

I too love Johanna Parker. She is one of the most talented artists I have even seen. How beautiful her work is. I cannot even imagine owning one of her pieces. What a treasure for sure.

Thank you so much for sharing today. I am off to keep looking for my precious feather Christmas tree.

Stop by and say hi. I so love the company. Country hugs...Sherry

Oh, I have a feather tree and everyone laughs at it. Sigh. They don't get it.

That tree is awesome, Jen! How sweet of your hubby to have picked it up for you. I, too, love Johanna's work - I'll have to try and pick up some of her reproductions sometime.
Take care and have a great day decorating your new tree!!! :) Theresa
PS Thanks for your kind words about my little shop. :)

Ahh, love the tree Jen, and I'm so happy you came across one of my snowmen busts at the museum gift shop. How fun - he looks perfect in his new home :)

And thanks ladies for all of your nice comments about my work... I love making it and seeing the smiles that each piece generates....

( I need to hop on over to Etsy and see all the goodies.. I have a feeling I would be there all day! )

Hugs,
~ Johanna

It's so beautiful! I would love to have a tree like that. I've been obsessed with white trees this xmas, for some reason.
I love Etsy, too. Been spendin' a little too much time over there lately, I'm afraid. It's addictive! I might need a support group! ;)
