Winter Magic

I can't believe it's been 10 days since my last blog post! I don't think it's ever been that long between posts.
Perhaps the magic of the season has me under it's spell. Maybe I've eaten too many Christmas cookies and I'm getting way too lazy! Whichever the case, I just completed a very magical winter welcome sign with a lovely winter spirit woman riding a gorgeous white horse. On the horse's back is a show shoe hare. A few more snow bunnies are watching and following. She reminds me of a white witch or winter fairy, taking care of all the animals during the cold season.

I love how the snow sparkles in the sun. If the person who buys this sign would like, I'll add diamond dust glitter accents so it sparkles like real snow!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I was the lucky recipient of several wonderful gifts including a new set of hard anodized cookware from my husband, a huge box of Halloween goodies from my mom (everyone else in my family thought this was weird) and a Yankee Flipper anti-squirrel bird feeder also from my mom. If you've never seen this feeder, it's a riot. The squirrels go flying when they try to eat the seed. Here's a video: LINK.

Hi there! Happy early New Year! I had just been thinking that I had not read a post from you in a bit. I know what you mean about the cookies - I've eaten way too many myself - and cupcakes as well. But they're just too darn YUMMY!!! I run around every day like crazy, so I guess that might help keep the poundage at bay.
I LOVE the new sign - the colors are great. The bunnies are absolutely adorable, and I'll bet the glitter will make the sign look even more lustrous!
Good to hear from you again!
Theresa :)

Yay, great to have you back posting. Hurrah for the Yankee Flipper, they are great! Last year I saw fresh snow blown up like "dust devil" and the way it sparkled in the air took my breath away! It's a rare combo, perfect puff of wind over very fresh cold snow - lovely. Your sign is beautiful! Happy Blue moon soon!

So I'm sitting my cube at work - and in walks Kelly from http://redandthepeanut.blogspot.com/ . She hands me a post card with your headless horseman on it.. She said she had bought some pendants from you and you had included two of the postcards.

I chuckled at how small the world has become with this whole 'internet' thing.

Love the latest painting. I wish I had won the auction on the Percheron sign before Christmas. =(

Oh that new painting is gorgeous! like and elf or Celtic Queen. The squirrel feeder is funny - almost cruel and unusual, LOL.
Happy New Year!

Just lovely! I love the snow hares - that does very much make me think of a winter fairy.

Also love the sparkling snow photo - I always have a hard time trying to capture that but now that I think about it...that's probably because it's usually cloudy here, haha! :)

I am so sad. So far NO SNOW this way. Just a few sad flakes to tempt me and make me ache for more. Yours is surely beautiful, I'll live vicariously. Happy New year, I hope 2010 is wonderful for you!
