Landis Valley in Winter

With the husband sick in bed and Zoe and I bored out of our minds, we decided to brave the cold weather and snow and head over to one of our favorite places, Landis Valley Museum. They are having their Winter Institute now so there are all sorts of things going on from learning to care for draft animals to blacksmithing. Zoe and I stopped and watched some of the students in the classes. But, we came for the animals and I got some great shots! I also got to cross off an item on my bucket list, scroll to the bottom to see!
Click on pictures for a larger view and don't forget to leave me a comment and let me know which was your favorite!

I got to go on a sleigh ride!!!!!! Yippeee!!!

Jen, they are all so good that is very difficult to pick just one.

Wow...those are REALLY great shots! You should make prints and hang them:) I especially love "portrait" of the white horse and the black cat sitting under the saddles.

Amazing photos again!!! I just have to visit that place! I love them all but if choosing, it would be between the cow peeping round the corner, or the three Drafts with the horse shoes hanging over the loose boxes... so cool.

You get the most FANTASTIC pictures!!!! It seems, sometimes, that you live in Storybook, USA. Amazing!

Envy!!!! Draft horse galore! I want to learn how to blacksmith :) I love all the pictures but I'm struck by the Randall cow(at least I THINK I see spots) sticking it's head from around the door opening.

Everything looks so enchanting!

Your pics are fabulous but I think my fav is the one with the three horses bums, not sure why, it just tickled me!

Good morning Jen! looks like you guys had a great time. The picture of Zoe and Mr. Gobbler is too cute.. but my favorite is of the harnessed Belgium standing in his stall.

Beautiful photos, but I really need to choose a favorite? I love the photo of the white horse - what a beauty! I also love the photo of your daughter with the turkey. The look on her face is priceless. She's too adorable.
Glad to hear you both had a good time. And what fun! A sleigh ride. I've been on a carriage, but not a sleigh.
Enjoy your day today; hopefully, the hubby is feeling better.

I just found your blog and LOVE it! I just started an art blog and have been trying to figure out how to do it, love the photos. My favorite is the grey horse head shot, because I am a sucker for a dapple grey. Would really appreciate some friends and comments about blogging if you have time at crystalcookart.blogspot.com
You are very talented.

Lucky girl! Love the view - lol!

I love all the kitty pics - but I think my fave is the one where the cat is scowling at the chicken (or debating whether to eat it is worth getting past all those feathers!)
