Wow, it's Wednesday already and I have NEW beautiful blooms in my garden. Today it was rainy so I had to post some pictures I took yesterday. Some of my favorite cottage garden plants are blooming like iris, foxglove & lupine. The garden is alive with color!
What's blooming in your garden?
Beautiful blue sky earlier this week.
Rainy iris today.
I just can't get enough of this foxglove.
Everyone loves gardening (uh, except my husband).
Mee Mee loves to squish the flowers.

Your gardens are beautiful! I love the old-fashioned flowers like those you listed. Also blooming in mine are peonies, lily of the valley, false indigo, scotch broom, lilacs, phlox, centuria, forget-me-nots (hey, want any of those!!!), plumbago and Virginia bluebells. C'mon over and visit - they would love to see you!
Love the bird house in your garden! It's amazing how quickly your garden is growing and filling in the dormant spots. The foxglove is one of my favorites too. Lovely!... and nice Belgian painting as well! :-)

That sign captured that gentle Belgian so nicely..what a kind eye!
An amazing garden, and such wonderful photos!
Ahhh, your tiny piece of heaven!
My iris, Persian lilac and Lilies-of-the-valley are in full array. It is raining, storming, wet, mushy, chilly.....no weeding, mowing, planting being done yet today again. We are container gardening this year; containers still need filled let alone planted. Sigh.
i love foxgloves :D such pretty plants
I love to see the flowers blooming this time of year! I also took some photos of rain washed flowers but the winds last weekend knocked them flat.
I had to shoo my cat the other day because she rolled on her back trying to get me to pet her right on top of a little sunflower sprout I was trying to rescue from the pathway. *longsuffering sigh*
Our foxgloves aren't blooming yet but our neighbor's field is absolutely purple with wild lupine. It looks amazing.
Your welcome sign is beautiful! I always love all the character you put into their faces.
Oh my Jennifer, your garden is so beautiful! You are so far ahead of me in planting zones. This picked up my spirits knowing mine is getting there. Not as gorgeous as yours though! Thank you for sharing. Tammy
What is with the kitties squishing the flowers???! Mine do the same thing.
And oh, my foxglove didn't come up this year. Is it biennial?? I'm thinking it is because I only had it for 2 years.
Your stuff is way faster growing than mine again! My lupines are just starting to get tiny buds and my foxgloves are just leaves. Love the socks! Your daughter reminds me of my neice, does she change her clothes all the time and not match anything? I only had a boy so I used to have my neice over a lot and she came in with the most crazy outfits, I loved it!
Lovely garden! I had some lacey purple tulips that I was waiting patiently for and just as they were ready to open these two evil monsters they call "children" picked them all and ran down the street with them, probably a Mother's day gift. I really hope said Mother was terribly allergic to them and broke out in painful hives. Have a nice day!
Those foxgloves for me are so whimsical and beautiful all rolled into one. The iris is stunning.
