It's true, I have a love affair with pumpkins! I love to carve them, photograph them, take wagon rides to pick them and eat yummy pumpkiny treats (yes, I even bought pumpkin pie Pop Tarts). I have tried to grow them but the squirrels nibbled at the squash all summer long. I love pumpkins so much my local newspaper came out to write a story about me.

Halloween... it's almost here!
Have you picked your perfect jack o' lantern?

I read the entire post but the entire time my brain was going "!!!!!!!!!!!!" at the pumpkin pop-tarts thing. I've never seen those! Must. Go. To. Store. Now.
Jennifer, I have read your blog for several years and always enjoyed it especially the wonderful picture you take aand post. If that was your daughter holding the pumpkin she sure is a cutie.
Living in Montgomeryville, PA I would be able and like to bring my grandchildren to the pumpkin carving contest (?) next year I trust you will publish the wherefores, date, and location. There are several females in my family who would just love your art. Thank you for the blog and your post, Bill
Oooooooo, I love pumpkins too...especially the white ones! Some nasty person took ours off our porch last night and threw it in the street so I am off to get another one!

Awesome, awesome!! I love it. I'm going to use your pumpkin carving tips this year and I'll post my project on my blog when I'm done! You've inspired me....I've just got to come up with a design. I'm thinking a Mustang themed pumpkin. And, I'm going to go look for your painted pony!! Your whimsy really does make people smile--I've smiled plenty of times viewing your creations and photos.
What a great article :-) I am a huge pumpkin lover, lol. Having moved to England a few months ago, I'm having a bit of pumpkin withdrawal. They are not as plentiful here, and Ive seen no wonderful pumpkin patches!! I loved your pics, and the ones of the birds are simply gorgous as well!
"pumpkin pie Pop Tarts"? you American gals have all the fun. No way do we have those here, it's just strawberry or choclate!
My Jennifer inspired pumpkin is finished and pictures are posted to my blog! Thanks for the tips, they really helped. (Though I still stink at carving letters!!--My horse turned out Coooool!)
