Sunday at the Barn

Faust and pony friend. Faust is blind in this eye.

I was able to borrow a western saddle that is just Zoe's size for her to ride in.
Rosie decided it was time to show Zoe what a trot feels like and her response was a giggle and not crying which was good! I was thankful she had that horn to hold on to!
The cold weather was making Rosie very frisky because she gave me a few bucks when I asked for the trot. Luckily we got over that!

 Faust's good eye. I love horse's eyes.

A split second too late for a nice shot.
Oh well, blinky shots are funny to me:)

This little barn kitten makes me laugh when I look at him.
Found out he likes to chase the end on a whip:)

I have so many fond memories of playing with whips and kittens at the racetrack growing up. The kitty photos made me smile.

Beautiful animals. I love horse`s eyes too, first time I saw our pony her eyes told me she was friendly.

Jennifer these are terrific barn life shots! Riding a horse on a crisp cold day would be so invigorating! I envy your lifestyle dear lady! Merry everything to you and yours.

I agree, horses eyes are fantastic. This is why I have eleventy billion photos of my neighbor's adopted mustangs that like to hang out by my fenceline. :)

I used to have a small western saddle very much like that! And even with the stirrup straps as short as they would go they were still too long for me (when I first got it) so my grandpa added some wooden blocks carved to fit in the bottom and he inscribed my name in them. I kept the stirrups when I sold the saddle and I use them for decorations.

Looks like you all had a great time! The one shot of the horse's eye almost makes him look like a goat- weird!

I love barn kitties--they're almost as great as horses. I bet you love going to the barn nowadays--good memories for moms and daughters!
