Super Moon!

The super 'perigree' moon on Saturday was as big as she's been in 18 years. I got a few neat shots the night before. I had the lighting on my camera set to 'tungsten' and got this shot that made her look blue.

Then, I eagerly awaited her appearance on Saturday night when she was at her fullest.
At first I had to drive out to meet her since she wasn't visable from my backyard.

She was an awesome shade of orange as she rose above the horizon.
Ever wonder why the moon is orange?

About 30 minutes later she was golden.

And then a beautiful silvery white before I went to bed.

I hope you had a chance to see the full perigree moon.

You got some gorgeous shots! I was SO bummed because it was cloudy and then right as the moon rose the clouds cleared away enough to see it and create some spooky glowing effects around it.

Fabulous photos! I appreciate seeing them, as it was cloudy here.

Beautiful! Just beautiful!
We went to a friends house that night, sat by the bonfire and admired the moon. Forgot the camera though...

I did get the chance, and you know it was actually a random one. In a moment when my bf got up to go to the bathroom at Chick Fil A that night, I was alone in our booth facing another woman who was alone in the next booth. She pointed and mentioned it and I was awe struck. Amazing.

You always manage to get the most beautiful pictures! I tried to take a picture of it and didn't get anything usable at all. You have great skills :)

Wonderful photos! No luck here, as it's been cloudy and rainy for days. Kind of funny, since this is sunny California, lol!
