Easter Weekend

We had a fabulous Easter Weekend and I hope you did too!

I love the look of concentration on my daughter Zoe's face before the local egg hunt.
This was right after the pep talk, you know the one.
Don't fool around with the real eggs, go for the plastic ones.

This year I made a scavanger hunt for her Easter morning. She had to follow clues around the garden and finally found her basket in the play house.

On Easter day we picked up her cousins and headed to Longwood Gardens.

This anemone is perfection to me!

I love the pink and green combo on these tulips.

Purple Martins were back and as busy as could be!

I am captivated by the fiddleheads.

The light shining through the copper beech leaves was magical!

Killdeer eggs in my Mom's garden, between her rows of spinach.
The most beautiful eggs to find on Easter!

Awesome Easter pics, Jen. Never saw Killdeer eggs. Hope they are protected form predators.

Again, wonderful photos, Jennifer! I am glad to see Zoe looking well, and happily searching for Easter goodies. Love the killdeer eggs; they are so well camoflaged. I found a clutch of eggs in my manure pile last year.

The look on your daughter's face as she found her playhouse goodies is priceless. :)
Those pink and green tulips almost look like day lilies.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful Easter weekend photos! I did so love the look of determination on Zoe's face. LOL And I adore any and all photos of Longwood. Fiddleheads are the most amazing things - have you ever tasted them? I haven't - not sure I do. I just like looking at them! LOL Theresa
