We were at Landis Valley Museum today for the
heirloom plant sale. Of course I am drawn to the draft horses there.
These Percherons are a mother and her daughter.
I'll scratch your back...
My garden is really starting to pop.
These purple alliums looked stunning this morning.
In the next three photos, if you have a good eye,
you can see seeds and their little parachutes from
my neighbor's dandelions.
I like watching the ants on the peony buds.
A very pale pink lily of the valley I got from another gardener in town for $1.
One of my favorite perennials, salvia.
Love the little curly q's at the end of the blossoms.
When I'm working in the garden, the cats are always somewhere near.
Pumpkin Pie is going to pounce!

What are some of your fav perennials that can really handle the cold???? I live in TX but we can get down to 9 degrees and no blanket of snow to help....
Your garden looks really wonderful, Jennifer. Love the feline "overseer". And the photos of the drafts at their home are great. Thank you for the lovely photos ... it's good to know spring is happening somewhere!
I love the first photo! Wonderful!!
Oh my goodness, I've just got to come visit Landis Valley! Love the pink Salvia! Happy Mother's Day!
