Two weeks ago Gypsy Mare Studios Facebook page reached 1000 likes so I had a giveaway for a custom portrait to celebrate. The winner decided to suprise her friend and have her Shetland Pony painted.
Above is the final portrait. I'm so happy with how she turned out!
Now switch to fireflies....
I love summer nights and our back yard is full of lightning bugs every night. I was trying to get a photo but I think it's nearly impossible. I did accidentally get this photo of of my daughter Zoe looking like a ghost.
It was nearly dark and I had my shutter speed set very low.
The morning firefly release.
I liked that ghost effect so much I had to try it on my friend's cat Bon Bon.

Jennifer, the pony portrait is truly one of your best, and what a good idea to celebrate your achievement. Love the firefly adventure photos! I remember having so much fun watching them when I was visiting my aunt in Hohokus.
Fantastic painting! The "ghost cat" is one my husband would love... he is allergic to our two. :)
