Irene

Well, we survived the hurricane, yippee! There was minimal damage in our yard but our neighbor's mature pine came down taking out the crabapple behind it. I'm pretty sure both of those trees are his. So glad we had our leaning pine removed earlier this year. I really couldn't take another $1000 tree bill.

Poor gnome has fallen and he can't get up!

Hurricanes sure are nature's tree trimming service.
I have never seen so many small branches and leaves in our yard.
Wishing that all my blog friends on the East Coast have safely weathered the storm and that your family and critters are happy and healthy!

Hi Jen!

Glad you are all ok!

Looks like a lot of folks in the NE only suffered downed trees (at least I hope!).....however, I do feel badly for Mr. Gnome! Looks like he'll recuperate, though! :)

I live 5 min. outside of Reading and so far seen no trees down in my neighborhood it seems we lucked out for the most part only a few shingles missing from my friend's roof on the other side of town.

Glad you were spared major damage. Hopefully someone will give that gnome a hand up.

Glad to hear you only had minimal damage :)

Your yard looks so luxurious! I just want to take off my shoes and run through the grass now

Hi from Jen here in Wales. So glad you survived Irene with minimal damage - I do so hope those trees ARE your neighbour's! The flooding looks pretty bad on the News.
