A few more photos from the Fair Hill International 3-Day Event...
Near every jump on course there are outriders, people on horses prepared to catch a loose horse or help in any way they can if something should happen.
This Appaloosa walked down to the water jump to get a drink between riders.
Usually outriders are on horses but I was especially fond of this pretty white mule.
I love the heart shaped marking on this chestnut's head and the big, bright eyes on the bay.
At Fair Hill there are almost as many dogs as people!
Plenty of entertainment from dog agility, live music, kid's art activities, Pony Club demos, shopping and a man with hawks and falcons!
It was an amazing fall day to be out on a horse.
I love the spooky looking tree above and the beautiful buckskin below.

Wonderful photos of a beautiful day! Thank you, Jen.
I can feel the anticipation and excitement of the day. I love the close up of the hawk and the white mule is too sweet.
Love all the pics! Someday I'll get there....
Thank you so much for following my blog and leaving your kind comments on my post. The pictures on this post are wonderful, the white mule is so sweet and I love the heart shaped mark on the chestnut's head too. Abby
hello there,
I just came over to say thanks for your comment and for following my blog.
I've had a great time looking through your posts, and obviously we have a shared love of these beautiful horses...but I'm not ashamed to say my heart is totally smitten with my dearest Bruce!
Lovely autumn weather here at the moment, bright and breezy and although I didn't have time to take Bruce for a ride we did have a walk into the countryside and brushed-up on our groundwork which is always a bonus.
I've not clipped him yet this year and his winter coat is coming in like a layer of fine fluff- lucky he never has to winter out and is cossetted with rugs and comforters!
Just off to Etsy to look at your pieces,
hope to catch up again soon
Elaine
what a pretty mule!
Lovely pictures and gorgeous day! Adorable puppies too. I love the heart shaped star on the chestnut
