October Butterflies

I am amazed at how many butterflies are in the garden this time of year. My two favorites are the common buckeye and the monarch. It's definitely a feeding frenzy around my butterfly bushes. Today I even saw a hummingbird. What are they doing still hanging around here?

Pumpkin Pie thought he would play a little game with his squirrel friend this morning.
No squirrels were harmed:)

Beautiful Butterfly shots Jen! I've noticed an increase in the number of Butterflies and Dragonflies this year and I take that as a good sign. :-)
Wondeful photos of Pumpkin Pie kitty too! He's very photogenic!

Again, I gaze with longing [and lust for your camera :)] at your photos, Jen. All beautiful, and Pumpkin Pie looks SO good photographed against the orange leafy background.

Loved the butterfly shots. I don't believe I've ever seen a common buckeye before. Very nice. But that Pumpkin Pie and squirrel photo is just PERFECT. The timing for it, right on the money. However did you do it, they move so fast.

These photos took my breath away! How gorgeous!!! Our butterflies have gone away...so it was wonderful to see your photos. Thankfully, Pumpkin Pie didn't go too far into the tree! What a cute little mischievous face!
