Farms from the Car

It's such a beautiful time of year!
I talked my family into a drive to nowhere on Sunday.
Mainly so I could shoot some fall farmland during the magic hour before sunset.

Someone from out of town said to me the other day
that they bet I take this beautiful landscape for granted.

Never, ever. Not for one moment. I love Lancaster County.

I managed to get a few good shots, even from the car...

We stopped briefly at Lititz Springs Park to see the ducks.

Zoe had a near duck experience.

The farm houses are stunning -- but I just LOVE the tree/puddle shot. Amazing.

EEEK! I love the look on her face!! Hahaha!

Joe just walked by and said "Oh, wow. Pretty pictures." To which I replied "and that is why I come here, silly!"

OMG ... Zoe was duck-mobbed ... a close encounter of the duckish kind!!! Seriously, is Zoe alright?
And you are right - you do indeed live in a gorgeous part of the world. Thank you for sharing.

When I moved from the east coast to the midwest I became fascinated with farms. Your photos capture their beauty. In all my years of photographing and seeing ducks out and about... seeing this picture of your daughter, surrounded by them, made me speechless. It is priceless.

What a priceless photo you have there with your daughter and the ducks. She does look a little worried....
