Maryland Zoo

This past weekend we went to Baltimore, MD and spent the night.
On Sunday we headed to the Maryland Zoo...

Coquerel's Sifaka mom and child above...
the guy below was just sitting right next to the window staring at people.
I love how he's sitting.

Fancy Mandarin duck.

Critically endangered Addra Gazelle.

A handsome raven. (for Poe and the Baltimore Ravens)

Love the Arctic Foxes.

I got to feed a giraffe named Caesar!
Neither of these photos are me. I was TOO excited to hold the camera steady and feed him. It was over in a second too.

I enjoyed watching the keeper feed the penguins. They recorded the number of each one who got a fish.
Some were quite greedy and needed a gentle push.

Polar bear enjoying the warm, sunny day.

They put bamboo in with a lot of the animals to eat and/or play with.
This goat was enjoying herself.

This is a Dexter Cow - she was tiny, maybe came up to mid waist.
I want one!

And lastly the cute and super tiny Kirk's dik-dik
Weighs about the same as a cat!

STUNNING photos. Baltimore is my old stomping grounds. Haven't been to the ZOO there in years. Thanks for taking me home. Take care.

That's one zoo I've never been to, even though it's not terribly far. I definitely need to go.

Thank you so much, Jen!! I enjoyed your visit to the zoo, too. That little fellow sitting looks a bit apprehensive - like he's waiting in the dentist's office. And all the animals look like they are enjoying the sun so much.

Great photos as usual! I've always been fascinated by those little Dik Dik's.

Amazing faces, all of them. That gorilla looks like a wise, old soul.
