Happy New Year indeed!

We had a wonderful time last night at our friends house in Lancaster. Nothing better than good food, friends, wine and a roaring fire! What a great way to spend New Years Eve - and for once I went easy on the wine. By the way, the absolute BEST sandwich: crusty roll, homemade pesto, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, lettuce, prosciutto and a drizzle of balsamic!

Around 11pm last night I borrowed a computer to check my email and to my absolute delight I found out that I won 1st place in The Trail of Painted Ponies 4th Annual Holiday Design Contest!!! How cool is that! I was so excited, I could barely sleep. Click here for a link to the contest's home page.

I'm really sorry I wasn't able to get to every one's blog and leave a comment but this week I'm dealing with a sick child and a sick cat that had to go to the vet. The kitty is on the mend but the kid is still sick. :(

Back to the painting table now. I am working on a side saddle holiday sign and a few more pendants for the Etsy shop. Just completed this lovely Overo Paint Horse jewelry box at the request of a customer. Thought I'd share a picture of it!

There is a chance that the kiddo will be going to her grandmother's house for the night. If that's the case, I have three Spring themed signs ready to paint for Ebay. I also painted 2 dressage horse pendants yesterday and a really cool robin's nest barrette. Hopefully I will get them up on Etsy today.
