Weekend

Driving home a back way from Longwood Gardens today,
we saw this amazing field of sunflowers on Rte. 926. I think it's Liondale Farm.
Kinda takes your breath away!

We still have a hummingbird or two hanging around the feeders.

Our cats MeeMee Doodle above,

I love her green eyes.

Longwood photos to come soon!

Jennifer, The first time I saw a field of sunflowers, I pulled the car over and took pictures...one of them is hanging in my living room. Your pics make me smile all the time...and I can't get over how many hummingbird pictures you've taken...its like magic!

Kinda takes my breath away? Oh, it definitely took my breath away! I've never seen a field of sunflowers that large.
Also have never been able to get a decent shot of any of the hummingbirds who are at our feeders. We have the migratory ones, still here for a bit more, and also the Annas Hummingbird remains in this valley year-round provided they can find foot. Hence, I have a feeder out 365 and that means bringing it inside on frosty winter nights and returning first thing in the a.m.

Today I am facing a morning of unpleasant tasks and feeling quite down in the dumps. And then I came across your blog post and I smiled, touched by the simple and abundant beauty in your pictures. Thank you for that gift. :)

What a gorgeous field. I'd love to run in it - but I am HIGHLY allergic to sunflowers (which stinks, as I love them so much). Thanks for sharing beautiful photos, as always.
