We headed to ZooAmerica in Hershey, PA for it's annual free community day this weekend.
This zoo only has animals that you would find in North American. It's the first time I have been here with my new camera (Canon Rebel T3i) and I was excited to get some good shots.
I didn't think they would turn out this good!
Beautiful gray wolves looked perfect against the freshly fallen snow.
I shot this through a fence, still can't believe it. Looks like he's coming right for me!
Next is a bobcat.
There were three of them napping and enjoying the winter weather their warm coats were made for.
This Canadian lynx was looking all around his enclosure for something. Maybe mice?
Look forward to the next post for some beautiful raptors!

Beautiful! I love how the white snow makes the wolf's coat colors stand out.

Oh man, I'm going to have to go to this next time.
I'm in awe. You outdid yourself and I can't wait to see the raptors!
What AWESOME photos. The snow as a background makes the animals jump right out at you. STUNNING creatures. Love the wolves.
OMG, Jen, these are superb!!!!
Amazing photos! I don't know how you did it - patience. We think the zoo America sweeties are always so shy. Well done, you!
Wow, you should contact Hershey and see if they want to sell these as cards!
Oh my gosh! Fab shots! :-)
Amazing photo's. I third picture, the black guy laying down, he looks like an old one. The bob cat is awesome and so are the lynx. I had one walk through my yard once, didn't have my camera ready near by and I missed it, never to be seen again. You are lucky to have this zoo close by to visit.
I just love wolves. Thank you for sharing these photos. I definitely need to visit this zoo...someday!
