Coming along nicely...

My new garden is coming along nicely. Everything seems to be growing and happy. I'm constantly surprised at the changes that take place seemingly overnight. I have the hole made in my tea pot and noticed a chickadee that was out apartment shopping the other day. Still have to find an old porch post to mount it to. I bought a neat Wilbur chocolate tin to mount mid post that I will plant a flower in. Can't wait to put this all together.

In the veggie garden I have brocolli and sugar snap peas that are looking yummy. I pulled up some beets for dinner but didn't know they would take so long to cook and I ended up forgeting about them and burning them:(
I'm up to my eyeballs in lettuce so if you're in the area, come by and I'll hook you up!

My husband has 4 more days left of teaching and after that I will have a babysitter for the whole summer! Yipee, I can't wait to get painting! Yesterday I completed a Sleepy Hollow box but it sold within hours of putting it on Ebay.

Today I finished a large Headless Horseman painting on a sign board. It's very folksy and whimsical and I'm totally smitten with him. As soon as I varnish it I'll add it to my blog to show him off.

Lastly I thought I would share some Friesian horse photos from Devon last Friday...

Have a wonderful weekend!

And also, that box is amazing! May I ask how much it sold for?

LOL at least that water is feline-friendly fish-flavored!
(alliteration not intended, but it works so I'm leaving it, LOL)

Wow, love your garden--especially the little teapot birdhouse!

I'd come and take the lettuce, but even in our teeeny city garden, we have too much of this, also--DOH!

The painting is amazing, as are all the works you create! :)

And the Friesians are just stunning!

Have a great weekend, Jen!

Oh what a beautiful garden! The teapot bird house is just SO clever, I cant wait to see it all put together with the post and tin. Congrats on the fast eBay sale.

The teapot idea is so adorable. Can't wait to see it put all together. I know what you mean about the lettuce....between that and the spinach LOL. In a few months, it will be the tomatoes, but not to complain - everything tastes so wonderful coming from the garden. :)

Your sign is so cute, too. And those Frisians! They make me weak in the knees, lol!

Your garden is coming along beautifully. I don't know if you are aware of this, but I used to buy your earlier work on ebay and sell it in my now defunct store. Your signs and the signs painted by Carolee were some of my customers favorites.

Oh my goodness... you live in SUCH a beautiful place... that first photo is idillic!
And, love the Friesian photos. I took my daughter to see the Lipizzaners when they were in LA last year... They were spectacular.
