I'm so excited for my first pumpkin carve on Saturday at the Newtown Square Harvest Festival. This is a new event for me, I usually only do the Chadds Ford Great Pumpkin Carve, but I was invited to this one and it's in a really nice area outside of Philadelphia. The MacNeill side of my family has some history in that area. Henry T. MacNeill, my great grandfather, sketched a lot of the historical buildings around there like the old St. David's Church and cemetery.
The organizer told me I could bring a few things to sell so I painted 15 pendants and bought a spooky tree at the craft store to hang them from.
I also decided to create a painting of the Headless Horseman that will be the inspiration for my pumpkin carving design. I still have a way to go on this but here is a work in progress photo.
A few other fun things coming up...
I'm going to have a giveaway next week for one of my Halloween pendants so please check back. Also I will have a giveaway for a witch pendant on Mrs. B's blog on October 18th. She has been hosting giveaways every day this month so please go check it out and sign up for some!
Lastly, I am the spotlight artist on the Whoa Etsy Horse Art Team's blog. If you want to read a little more about me, click on this link.
