We have CROCUS!

I saw my first crocus of the year this afternoon, hiding out with the winter aconite. The smell was heavenly. I didn't realize how fragrant they are. Love the orange color too.

Here's our kitty, Pumpkin, doing his best meercat impression while watching birds from my art table.

Lastly a small cabinet door that I am painting in my folk art style for the PFATT Marketplace. It's going to have all sorts of spring colors and patterns around the frame when I'm finished!

Welcome to spring! I knew that it would reach you sooner or later. The warm, bright colors are so pretty.

Your cat is a dear- relaxed but watchful.

Pumpkin absolutely cracks me up! What a beautiful crocus. I see daffodils finally poking out down here and cannot wait!

You're so luck--a crocus! They ARE fragrant. I wish I'd get something coming up. I'm wondering if the voles didn't eat my bulbs.

That painting is looking good!!! I want to see it when you're done with the frame. :)

what an incredible crocus! and the first of the season - i've not seen one yet - huge mounds of left over snow are everywhere still - but you're in pennsylvania, right? so, i'm surprised that you found such a wonderful little bloom already - i love jonquils and their fragrance, too! thanks so much for sharing your touch of spring with us all! and pumpkin is just too too cute!! love his pose!!

so sorry to have not been over for a visit in so long - just a long hard frigid winter with a lot a lot of distractions!

wonderful to visit your place again! have a glorious day!

What lovely crocuses! I think ours are going to pop in a few days...they're peaking out from under all the brown earth! I also saw two robins this morning...harbingers of spring!!! :) What a welcome sight!!!
Love the piece you are working on - nice bright cheery colors. :) Theresa
