What's Blooming Wednesday!

Now that spring has sprung and I'm out in the garden a lot, I want to start a new weekly feature on my blog - What's Blooming Wednesday. Since it's early I may not have a new flower or veggie to share every week but I sure noticed a whole lot of pretty coming up in the yard today. If you love to garden and you have a blog, maybe you'll join me with a Blooming Wednesday feature of your own. If you do, let me know!

Jonquils

Lungwort (I love this plant!)

Violas (purple and orange remind me of Halloween)

Windflowers

Pansy

Mushroom!

Meemee blooms in the warm sun :0)

Gorgeous flowers! It seems as though your blooms have started well before ours. We have daffodils and crocuses (although they are petering out right now). Our hyacynths are starting to poke out now. I love those, and they smell so good. Your sweet kitty looks so happy to be basking in the sunshine. :) Theresa

I love the first blooms of Spring. I saw my first Forsythia bush in full bloom yesterday! And some of the trees by the river are opening their buds - leaves soon to come!

Beautiful photos Jen! Do so love the spring flowers. I love the one of Meemee who looks so much like dear Charlie who has passed last August.

Do you live in the Garden of Eden? How are you getting blooms so early?? I was just getting ready to post my garden pictures, but alas, no blooms--just the promise of blooms.

Oh that lungwort has such pretty flowers! I don't know that I've ever seen it before.
The cat cracks me up. I was trying to take photos of all kinds of stuff yesterday and my cats would follow me and get in the middle of it all. What "helpers" they are. ;)

I'll play your, Whats blooming Wednesday game but where I live, nothing is blooming yet :( Your stuff is way ahead of mine and I am only over in CT. The only think I noticed so far was a small grape hyacinth. Maybe by next Wed. I 'll have something, the bleeding heart is working it's way up, that's usually the first thing to start growing. I am happy to see your stuff is blooming too, we're next!!

I'm playing! Thanks for the nudge!

Sounds like fun....I don't have any flowers, yet. I'll be playing along as soon as someone pops up!
Your photos are lovely.

Thanks so much for all the comments! I'm very excited that some of you want to play along. I wanted to do this last year but just didn't get around to it.

Today I planted English Daisies, a red loose leaf lettuce, bib lettuce, Jupiter's Beard (valerian) and hosta as well as scattering some flowers seeds around.

Go MeeMee! Nothing like warm spring sunshine on your fur. :) I noticed a viola coming up today. Nice to see color in the yard again.

What a great idea! I think about what is going bloom next all the time in my head. I would love to put something like that up on my blog.
