Exciting news!

So I did manage to break my camera while at the beach last week (major bummer). My last few shots were quite memorable though and a good way to go out I think (see post below).

One good thing has come out of this though, I was forced to upgrade. After some research I decided to go with the Canon EOS Rebel T3i. Unfortunately I have to wait a week (hopefully not more, I am going through withdraw). This baby looks pretty sweet, I can wait to get my hands on him. I am already dreaming of all the places we will go! My deal savvy husband also found 2 telephoto lenses and an awesome $400+ printer to go with the camera. If you bought the package, you got a $400 rebate on the printer!

So there will be no new photos on my blog for a little while. Perhaps I'll have to go through some old favorites for something to blog about. In the mean time, I did have a few prints made of some of my favorite pieces. There are 5 mostly Halloween images with two ginger cat prints as well. All are in my Etsy store if you want to check them out. I also added several pendants and reduced the price on my originals.

Jennifer!

That looks like a great camera! Do you mind if i ask you how you do your prints??? Do you print them off of your printer at home or somewhere else?? Do you have them professionally scanned in??? I don't know i'm just trying to figure out how to make prints of my own art that will be of high enough quality to sell on Etsy......any suggestions??? Hugs! deb

Gosh, same thing happened to me last year. I fell and broke my camera while at the beach. But ended up getting a new Canon G12 after a few months of waiting. Well worth it! I love it more than any camera I have ever had so far. Good luck with your new camera too!
Love LOVE your art, as always.

Deb, I used 'I Print From Home'. I'm sure if you google that you will find the website. The colors are very vivid and one print they got wrong and immediately sent replacements. I've had several friends use them and were happy. Getting a new printer soon that is supposed to be really good for making art prints at home on a variety of papers.

YAY!!!! new camera and more useful toys for Jennifer! I am so happy for you. And I LOVE your Headless Horseman paintings. I've always loved that story, and one Hallowe'en I dressed up as the H.H. My 3-year-old niece [who usually would not stop talking] came running out with her dad, took one look at me, and scuttled back to hide behind dad's legs! I think the outfit was a success!!! :)

Cool camera. My daughter just got what I believe is the version under it, but I'm not sure. Does that one have a flip out viewer?
