Chester County Fall

Zoe and I stayed with my Mom, in neighboring Chester County, the last two days so we could take her to the hospital for shoulder surgery.
We decided to take the scenic route to the hospital so I could take some photos. It was fun going down roads I haven't been down in ages. The fall foliage makes the perfect backdrop.

This property is near Longwood Gardens and is my dream farm.
Would you look at that gorgeous barn!

Japanese Maples in my Mom's yard. I was mesmerized by the colors.

A cormorant type bird near Parkesburg, PA.

Happy Weekend!

I absolutely love the colors in fall - I actually decorate with quite a few leaves and branches (both real and not) because I love it so much.

The architecture of the past is so beautiful. I love the attention to detail--even though it's a barn it has windows and rounded doors. Around here, too, there used to be many farm houses whose barns were more elaborate than the homes--much bigger and beautiful details. There are only a few left--many are being purchased and new homes erected. All of our barns are wood though. That barn is built to last.

What a beautiful time of year to drive through.
