Watch out, he bites!

Can you believe I shot this photo? I just found it on my computer. I guess it was a premonition that this nutty horse was going to take me out.
Got a little more of Siggy finished yesterday. He's got that crazy look in his eye like he's going to take another hunk out of my arm! He was a gorgeous horse to look at though, rippling muscles, color of a newly minted penny and the eyes to match!

Beautiful. My arab was like that when he was a stallion. Now he is 23 and the vet says he needs to be gelded again! He use to bite me something fierce..

Wow Jen, you can paint a horse like no other. Gorgous, but are you telling me the biting culprit in the top photo is the same horse?!!!

My friend had a horse that would bite her when she turned her back on it. It made the mistake of biting her husband, and John swung around with a fist in response and cold-cocked it. She was horrified and had the vet come out, but it never bit again. (I don't recommend John's technique by the way)

Just wanted to thank everyone for their wonderful comments!
If you read the post below this, Siggy was a stallion I used to manage at a large TB farm. He's the only horse I ever hated. He was always trying to bite me. One day he got me really good on the arm. After that I refused to handle him unless I absolutely had to. He was the kind of horse you had to lead with a chain in his mouth and a wiffle ball bat in one hand just to keep him from attacking you. Should have been gelded at an early age but unfortunately his DNA combined with an okay performance at the track made a few people want his babies. Kinda sad isn't it?

Oh, and yes, many have bad judgement when it comes to breeding.
