I've been going through a very rough patch lately with some deaths in the family. I thought we would go out to Middle Creek Wildlife Area to see the snow geese and get some fresh air. There were thousands there today. I believe they expect well over 50,000. You can't get very close but the sound is amazing. Tundra swans are also there. Also updated my playlist on the right sidebar this week. There are some great new and old songs on there. If you like it, please let me know! I'm really enjoying the first song, "Furr" by Blitzen Trapper. They just played at a church in Philly, I'm sorry I missed it.

Just wanted to thank everyone for the kind comments. It really means a lot to me. My grandparents were such wonderful, loving people. It is nice to see them go together. They were my shelter in a stormy childhood.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Spending time in nature was a great idea. Those photos are fantastic. At first I thought the birds were bits of dandelion fluff until I looked closely. Beautiful.
Furr brought tears to my eyes as did hearing about the loss of your grandparents. Thank you for posting the nature pictures they are beautidul and so healing.

What a great way to take part of the edge off of your sadness. The geese are leaving here now that the sandhill cranes have started to arrive in larger numbers. I always feel the renewal of spring as the cranes move onto the Platte River, and love the noise of the thousands of cranes as they come into roost for the evening. Cross your fingers I get to see a whooping crane again this year! It puts things in perspective, doesn't it!
