Zebras Frolic

To celebrate my husband's birthday yesterday we went to the Philadelphia Zoo. It was a nice day, warm but a bit blustery. One of my favorite animals to watch are the zebras. They're usually quite calm, munching hay or snoozing under a tree. I guess the wind and warmer temps had them feeling a bit frisky because they were putting on quite a show (click on each image for a larger, more detailed, picture) .

Chasing each other, round and round their pen...

Biting legs and necks...

Bucking and rearing...

I just want to thank everyone for their kind comments about losing my Grandparents. It really means a lot to me. It will be a hard week.
Getting lost on the internet is my great escape today.

Such pretty animals. I love that first photo. I had a pony whose mane stood up like that (maybe he was part zebra!) Sorry about your grandparents.

Those are some awesome photos. It's quite a treat to be able to observe some real normal and natural behaviors like that.

You photos and work is truly amazing. I feature some zebra designs on my mule and donkey site, by various artist, and would love to have some of your zebras there. I'll be searching now for them on CP and Z to see if they are available.

Great work!

Just a P.S. ...

I do have your cute mule baby featured at my longears site, and have posted about it on the blog.

Thank you for such beautiful artwork. I see in looking around, I will be going back to get some of your draft horse merchandise to feature as well.
