Elk Riverview

I finally made it over to my step father's sister's farm, to see her zebras!
Aren't they wonderful?
They also have belted Galloway cows, longhorns, donkeys, mini horses, regular horses, goats, cats and dogs.
It was a wonderful, animal filled day.

Living near the bay there are also all sorts of birds. I got to see my first osprey!

I haven't been blogging very much lately but I'm always adding new photos to Flickr.
Check out my Photostream - something new nearly every day.

Zebras Frolic

To celebrate my husband's birthday yesterday we went to the Philadelphia Zoo. It was a nice day, warm but a bit blustery. One of my favorite animals to watch are the zebras. They're usually quite calm, munching hay or snoozing under a tree. I guess the wind and warmer temps had them feeling a bit frisky because they were putting on quite a show (click on each image for a larger, more detailed, picture) .

Chasing each other, round and round their pen...

Biting legs and necks...

Bucking and rearing...

I just want to thank everyone for their kind comments about losing my Grandparents. It really means a lot to me. It will be a hard week.
Getting lost on the internet is my great escape today.

Let us give thanks!

I hope all of my readers, friends, family and dear customers have a wonderful Thanksgiving today. I am thankful for so many things. My home, health, family and the ability to create with my hands and my heart.
Thank you so much to everyone who has purchase artwork from me. It's been almost 10 years now since I started selling on the internet. Definately a dream come true!

A thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue, but the parent of all the other virtues. ~Cicero

New pendants for Etsy. My favorite is the zebra!
