Almost March

I'm so excited, it's almost March, a month with so many possibilities. Will is rain? Will it snow? Is it going to be 50 degrees outside or will it be freezing. Of course it's the month that contains my birthday (and husband's) so it's always been a special time for me.

Any other Pisces out there? I love to meet other artsy fish like me!

So here's what I've been up to this week (I'm really itchin' to paint a horse, maybe next week!):

Working on turning an image that I've painted into a sculpture.
Little bunny in a pumpkin. Nice for Halloween or Easter, right?

Playing around with another rabbit I've sculpted. Not sure what direction this one is going in yet. My husband says this bun freaks him out a little.

Went to Landis Valley today and got to hop on a wagon for a ride.
Too cold and windy to stay long but we had fun on the ride!

Finally finished my Dutch Rabbit in the Jack O' Lantern today!

The Last Unicorn

The Last Unicorn was a pretty neat movie back in the 80's when I was a kid. I decided to put the dvd in and show my 3 year old daughter the other day and she quickly lost interest. I guess it can't compete with today's computer animated movies like Toy Story and Wall-E.

What this post is really about is my last holiday sign of 2008. I was asked by a few people to paint another "Believe" unicorn sign and since I was without the child today and the snow was falling and I was listening to my newly created, super cool Christmas playlist (look to the right and hit the play button), I decided to comply with their wishes.
I also finished a winter welcome Dutch bunny sign. Since I was in such a good mood, I started that one out on ebay with no reserve. Yes, that's right, the bidding starts at one cent!

Both of these signs end on Friday so if the high bidder pays promptly I will get them in the mail on Saturday. Plenty of time to have them hanging for Christmas or wrapped up and under the tree for someone special.

Every bunny loves Halloween...

Here are my new signs as promised! A bunny witch and a bewitched Paint horse. Just added to ebay. As I mentioned in my previous post, I will be way this week. Be back before the auctions end!

How does your garden grow?

Now that the hot weather has rolled around, the tomato plants are growing like crazy. Especially my two heirloom Brandywine tomatoes I planted about 20 days earlier than I should have. The red one already has a nice size tomato on it. My Washington Boro plant has several tomatoes and a few are just starting to get the lightest pink blush. I can't wait! I am especially excited to make sauce and salsa.
My husband's favorite pasta topper is pesto and luckily I had just enough basil to make a batch for his Father's Day dinner. There is nothing so good as fresh pesto made with basil from the garden!
