The light level was low on Friday evening so I thought I would try some shots with my camera set to the sepia setting (there's a b &w one here too). I love how old timey they look and I love how the motion blur conveys the speed at which the horses were travelling. Several times that night I got a bra full of sand from the flying hooves! Click on each photo for a larger image if you wish. It's neat to see the rider's expressions a little larger than blogger allows for.
If you want to see all my favorite shots from Devon (over 100),
go to my Gypsy Mare Studios Face Book page.
I'm uploading them all to an album there. It's a public page so even if you are not on FB, you should be able to see them. Plus I almost have 1000 people 'like' my page and a few more would help me reach that number. Thank you!
PS. If I haven't commented on your blog lately, it's because Blogger is being a pain and not letting me! Trying to figure out why.
Go to Facebook for more photos!

I so know what you mean about blogger and commenting. Its all very frustrating. I hoped it would be cleared up by now.
Jennifer, I have very much enjoyed the photos you have been posting from the Devon show. Your pictures convey so much, especially today with the sepia. You are right, the speed is notable. And how long are those horses' tails?! Same problem for me and many others with the commenting issue here on blogger. It is annoying and hopefully they will get their act together soon!
They are just lovely horses!
I've had the same problem with Blogger the last couple of weeks. I could comment on a couple of blogs, but most I couldn't... I'm sure they'll work the bugs out ...I hope, I hope.
Nice photos as usual. :-)

Gorgeous photos, Jennifer! But I can't help thinking those horses look so uncomfortable. Hope your blogging is better soon; it seems to be affecting a lot of people to varying degrees.
A discipline I'd like to try before I die.
Gorgeous shots Jennifer! How cool that would have been to be there. :)
I love sepia. These horses are so beautiful. The tails on some!
And yes, blogger has been having fits and seems to be making everything difficult.
These horses are beautiful.Kathy
