Side Saddle Elegance

Tired of seeing riders prance around on their fancy horses?
Well tough, it's not over yet! I went to my favorite event, the Devon Horse Show, 4 times this year and took about 600 photos (and loved every minute of it). I shall edit them down to my favorites so as to not bore you completely.
Here's one of my favorite events, the side saddle class.
I think a man should try out for this. I'm all for equal rights in the show ring:)
If you prefer your equines more countrified, scroll down to the end of this post.

And this is what I see on the way home so I had to whip out my camera and take a quick shot!

I've never ridden side saddle. I can't imagine what it must be like. It looks difficult. Very beautiful though.

Wow Jennifer, 600 photos! That will take a while to go through. I for one, am not getting tired of seeing them! I vote: Keep 'em coming! The side saddle looks elegant but very uncomfortable and I certainly can't imagine jumping in it! ~ It must be nice living in Amish country. So many picturesque scenes. I'd like to see more of those too. Good shots! (That fence leaves a lot to be desired though.)

I would LOVE to learn how to ride side saddle, but I tell you, I relate more to the bottom two photos! Thanks for sharing!

All are wonderful, but the "in the moment' shot of the boy leading his horse next to the wire fence is stunning! Wonderful, quick reaction on your part!
